A Man After Your Own Heart

Oh Father in heaven above,
Your mercies are new every morning.
Oh how great is your love!
My heart worships you with praise and singing.

My heart burns within me,
To walk in your presence to be with you
Be drowned in the fragrance of your love.

To live out my life for my Savior, my King,
To desire and hunger for your truth,
To walk humbly before my loving God.

So my prayer is to be known more than just a proud son.
To be known more than just a loving father.
To be known more than just faithful husband,
To be known more than just a close brother.

To be known more than just a trusted friend,
To be known more than someone who trusted in your word, that I didn’t depart
To be known more than someone who extended a helping hand.
To be known more than anything this life of mine imparts.

Oh Lord, It is my sincere prayer,
That I always stay close and follow you,
Please don’t let me ever from you drift apart.

Let it be known, it is my heart’s one desire.
That I always remain true
My God, to be known that I was a man after your own heart.

The Good Message

What it must of have been like is beyond our comprehension.
That conversation God the Father and his son in Heaven.

All of heaven silenced, why their precious treasure must go.
One word, obedience, for the love of His Father is all He had known.
Among us a humbled loving servant he would be.
To leave all behind his place of royalty.

I’ll go Father, I’ll go, for you and make this sacrifice.
I know what this means Father, I know, but there’s no other choice.
I’ll go and lay down my life, for the sins of the world.
Bring hope to the hopeless and strife, and raise your banner of love Father, let it be unfurled.

For it’s not a fairytale,
Nor a myth.
Not a past down fable,
Or something made up.

But the ultimate love story known to man,
Why God’s love is such a mystery.
Exchange Heaven’s treasure for the world’s sin.
Through God’s son we find grace and mercy.

But the exchange would involve a sacrifice,
Sufferings, beatings, only the world would allow.
The humiliation and spits to the face,
And a crown of thorns to go with it, placed above his brow.

For the world didn’t think twice,
To have him shamed, crucified,
To have him put to death on that old rugged cross.
Yes he gave up his life,
Paid the ultimate price,
So that you and I wouldn’t be lost.

What he had to endure to wrestle for our lives for eternity.
Agony he would feel, at the Garden of Gethsemane what courage!
But he went to die in my place,
that punishment rightly belonged to me,
This is the story, what’s all about, The Good Message.

I’ll go Father, I’ll go, for you and make this sacrifice.
I know what this means Father, I know, but there’s no other choice.
I’ll go and lay down my life, for the sins of the world.
Bring hope to the hopeless and strife,
and raise your banner of love Father, over me
Let it be unfurled.

99 On The Hill

It’s another morning in the pasture;
My heart is broken, in dismay.
When I noticed one of you were missing?

I’ve searched among your brothers and sisters, friends,
My precious love, why did you stray?
You’re worth more than anything.

This love of mine is true, and you belong to me still.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.
Won’t give up but will see you through, my promise to fulfill.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.

Battered and bruised, so hungry and thirsty
The dangers of the wilderness can make you lose your sense of direction so quickly.

Not aware of treacherous wolves that follow your path,
Or the poison berries you’re tempted to eat.
Your way may seem right but leads to death,
My sheep know my tender voice and follow me.

This love of mine is true, and you belong to me still.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.
Won’t give up but will see you through, my promise to fulfill.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.

The one, who is lost, can never be so far from being saved by the Father’s hand.
He’s paid the price and you’ve been bought, by the blood of the lamb.

God’s love for each individual is so great,
That he seeks out each one and rejoices when he or she is found.

Along with heaven’s orchestra as the angels celebrate,
On Christ shoulders, carrying you home where true love abounds.

Lost one,
He loves you still,
He will see you through
To Him you truly belong,
He would leave the 99 on the hill,
Just to find you.

Job’s Song

Job, do you feel the leaves begin to fall in your life,
Job, do you feel a change of weather?
That a dry season is coming?
Probing the questions and reasons why?
Walking but going nowhere,
Job, why must you go through this hardship, this suffering?

Do you have the feelings of unhappiness?
Have fears of the unknown,
Job, are you full of misery and distress?
Crying out have mercy Lord, save my troubled soul.

What is your song Job?

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

But Job, you lost everything, ruin without reason.
What is left? Curse God and die?
Painful sores from head to feet, are you ready for the dry season?
You sit there among the ashes to what end? Job why?

What is your song Job? Where is your God Job? Who will deliver you now Job?

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

My Lord and King, my hearts deservingness,
My knees to the floor; my heart I will sing.
The praiseworthiness of you Lord does not depend on my circumstances.
I praise you for your unchangeable and desirable worth.

Father, I praise you, for who you are,
Sovereign Lord,
All-powerful,
Unmovable,
Good,
Holy,
Everlasting,
Merciful,
Mighty to save,
My strong tower,
The Lord Almighty loving God,
Creator of heaven and earth.

I will sing a new song;
To the one who is faithful and true.
I worship you in every season I face,
My soul still before you and quietly wait all day long.
Strength and victory belong to you.
Will not let suffering, or the enemy destroy my faith.

Seasons change, people change,
And we speak of things of God we do not understand,
Things to wonderful for us to know,
But one thing still remains;
No one can alter His plans,
He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God’s love reigns that he freely bestows.

I will sing a new song;
To the one who is faithful and true.
I worship you in every season I face,
My soul still before you and quietly wait all day long.
Strength and victory belong to you.
Will not let suffering, or the enemy destroy my faith.

HOPE
Oh LORD,
This morning my soul is downcast,
My heart heavy in pain, feel forsaken.

Now gone the one I adored,
My life shattered like broken glass
Why was my precious one taken?

My mind floods with questions for reasons why?
Overwhelmed with tears that have soaked my bed.
My flesh in me wants to anger inside,
Wants to blame you instead.

So I am holding on to your promises
It’s all I know, what little strength I have to do.
Keep me in your presence where I hear angel choruses,
Lord, bring comfort and strength to my heart that I may worship you.

With anticipation, expectation, this confidence,
I put my hope, my trust in you.
Though I walk through the valley of death,
I know you are with me; your rod and staff will protect, and will see me through.

One day, I will see my precious again,
The comfort of knowing that it will come to past.
Knowing my precious is now in the arms of my loving savior, my friend,
To know only what you do for Christ will surely last.

He’s
Our
Peace
Eternally

Just Like
We all been there before;
We walked down that lonely road,
Not knowing which way to go.

Many times we’ve failed the Lord,
Our hearts filled with a heavy load,
We felt the aching within our troubled soul.

We have this tendency to stray, to depart;
Our flesh wishes it and to leave the God we love.

We wish to obey;
Lord you know our hearts,
What motives and thoughts do we truly speak of?

Then I would read God’s word, and find someone I know,
That went through the same problems as us.

They found grace and favor, forgiveness that overflows;
It’s good to be set free by the power of His love.

For just like Abraham our faith gets tested,
Just like Moses we have lost our patience,

Just like Samson we have fallen short and lost our strength,
Just like King David, a man after God's own heart,
We’ve also made some bad mistakes.

Just like the prophet Elijah, we’ve been afraid and ran in fear,
Just like Jeremiah, we’ve cried day and night, with so many tears.

Just like Isaiah,
All of us have become like one who is unclean,
And all our righteous acts are like filthy rags;
Just like Jonah, we don’t want to forgive and show mercy,
We have also walked away from the Lord in defiance.

We have this tendency to stray, to depart;
Our flesh wishes it and to leave the God we love.

We wish to obey;
Lord you know our hearts,
What motives and thoughts do we truly speak of?

Then I would read God’s word, and find someone I know,
That went through the same problems as us.

They found grace and favor, forgiveness that overflows;
It’s good to be set free by the power of His love.

Just like the Samaritan women, we’ve searched for answers;
Just like the adulterous women, we received mercy and grace from the Father.

Just like the disciples, we’ve walked in pride, who would be the greatest they would ask?
Just like Peter, the Lord we’ve regrettably denied,
And wished we had professed, instead hide behind our masks.

Just like Thomas we’ve doubted and asked for proof of revelation.
Just like Paul’s sinful past, we too our forgiven,
Set free, with no condemnation.

Though our spirit is willing but our flesh is weak.
Were just like them no different than you and me,

We can still find grace and we can still find mercy.
Amazing, that there is a God who’s love still pursues me;

Who’s filled our emptiness with loving kindness, he is truly more than enough.
Our hearts are sealed with his forgiveness; it’s good to be set free by the power of His love.

By
Aaron Guadarrama

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, that saved a wretch like me.I once was lost but now am found, was blind, but now I see.

Prone to wander, Lord, I feel it,
Prone to leave the God I love;
Here’s my heart, O take and seal it,
Seal it for thy courts above.

Psalms 86:5 (NIV)
You are forgiving and good, O Lord, abounding in love to all who call to you.

Pieces

I once was lost,
Broken pieces of my life were on the floor
But now I'm found.
I am set free by the love of Christ.

He paid the cost,
And opened the door,
Broke the chains that had me bound.
He's picking up the broken pieces of my life.

I passed from death to life when He went to the cross.
He died so I can live.
In Jesus I put my faith and trust,
And now I live for Him.
Nothing in this world can get your heart on fire,
Nothing in this world can truly satisfy.
If you let Christ be your true desire,
He'll pick up the broken pieces of your life.

My life was heading in so many directions,
Was running away from God making excuses.
It was all about sex and booze,
Who can I take advantage today and use?

I cannot change the sins of the past,
My shameful regrets,
Ashamed of the secret things I have done.
But God has made for me all things new that will last,
My past sins He promises to forget,
And a future to live with Him in His eternal Kingdom.

Isaiah 44:22 (The Message)

“I've wiped the slate of all your wrongdoings. There's nothing left of your sins.Come back to me, come back. I've redeemed you."

(With Jesus Christ you can begin a clean slate today, and start a new beginning with Him forever.)

Do you know for certain that you have eternal life and that you will go to heaven when you die?
God’s purpose is that you have eternal life.

Is there any reason why you would not be willing to receive God’s gift of eternal life?

Are you willing to turn from your sin and place your faith in Jesus right now?
The bible says, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved” (Romans 10:13)

Please read this prayer and see if you want to say something like this to God.

Dear Lord,

I believe you are the Son of God and that you died on the cross and was raised from the dead. I know I have sinned and need forgiveness. I turn away from my sins and receive you as my Savior and Lord. Thank you for saving me Jesus.

Welcome to the family of God. You have just made the most important decision of your life. You can be sure you are saved and have eternal life. Three things you must know, and God is there to guide you, as well as other Christians to encourage and support you.

1. You entered God’s family by a SPIRITUAL BIRTH, you are BORN AGAIN.
2. GOD’s WORD is essential for spiritual growth just as food is for physical growth. “Like newborn babies, crave pure spiritual milk, so that by it you may grow up in your salvation, now that you have tasted that the Lord is good.” (1 Peter 2:2-3)

· God’s Word will help you grow: READ IT DAILY.
· God’s Word will guide you: HEAR IT TAUGHT AND PREACHED
· God’s Word will keep you from sin: MEMORIZE AND OBEY IT
· God’s Word will teach you how to live: STUDY IT
· God’s Word will inspire you: MEDITATE ON IT
· God’s Word will work: PRACTICE IT

Prayer is essential to spiritual growth just as breath is to physical growth.
Praying is like breathing:

· As you exhale, talk to God.
· As you inhale, listen to God.

Talk to Him anytime:

· You want to worship Him
· You need help
· You feel lonely
· You need strength
· You want guidance
· You are tempted
· You sin or fail (If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness.) 1 John 1:9

3. THE CHURCH is essential to spiritual growth just as the home is to a baby’s growth. What a good home and family are to a baby, the church is to a new Christian.

God’s people, the church, are your new family; find a church that you will spiritually grow in the love of Christ.

· They will rejoice that you have been born again.
· They will accept you and love you.
· They will encourage you and give you support
· They will teach you and train you how to live.
· They will worship God with you.

Be Strong and Courageous
My precious child,
I understand your fears,
I see your sorrows.
These days I seldom see my children smile,
Instead tears,
And worries about tomorrow.
I want you to know that I am with you,
I will not abandon,
You will soar like an eagle.
I will see you through,
As I hold your hand,
Walk you through your trials.

You see,
I told a young man once,
His name was Joshua this is true.
To just believe,
You can do this,
Wherever you go I am with you.
I know days will feel long,
And nothing accomplished,
My child, be like Joshua,
Be strong and courageous.

You may not succeed by the world's standards,
But you will be a success in my own eyes.
My opinion lasts forever,
My children continue to fight the good fight.

For just as I was with Joshua,
Trust in me,
Have faith in me,
Believe in what I say is true.
My precious child,
Be strong and courageous
Wherever you go I am with you.

I know days will feel long,
And nothing accomplished,
My dear child, be like Joshua,
Be strong and very courageous.

All I Can Do Is Pray

I'm restless can't sleep,
My worried thoughts are keeping me up tonight.

Hopeless dreams
Entertaining me again,
As I struggle with this fight.

When I am weak,
He is strong,
He’ll lead me where to go.
To see me through another day.
His word will speak,
And birth out of my heart a new song.
It's all I know,
For all I can do is pray.

Though I've walked through this valley before,
And held His hand that leads me home to the meadows.

I am asking,
Seeking,
Knocking on your door,
I feel I am being left all alone to fight in the shadows.

Will I find rest?
Will I find peace?
In the one who can save?
Is my faithfulness being put through the test?
I'm on my knees,
For all I can do is pray.

I will fight the good fight and pray without ceasing.
To walk by faith and not by sight, and keep on believing.

When I am week,
He is strong,
He’ll lead me where to go.
To see me through another day.
His word will speak,
And birth out of my heart a new song.
It's all I know,
For all I can do is pray.

Holding on to hope,
That I will hear a word from you today.
It's all I know,
For all I can do is pray.

By Your Side

Looking over heaven my Child,
I hear your cry; I’m not far from you,
I’m right by your side

For I see, the tears run down your eyes
I feel the pain, the hurt you’re going through.

Let me whisper in your ear my child,
That I’ll make all things new.

From the sky comes the rain and gives thirst to the flowers,
I’m by your side, when you call my name, to comfort you, your loving Father.

Come and let me wipe the tears with my soft robe.
Let me tell you again and again, I love you, you’re not alone.

Come and bring your worries, your troubles to me,
And I’ll give you peace beyond your understanding

Through the joys and sadness of this life has taken you,
At times the road to heaven seems far away.
Just hold on a little longer, have faith I’ll see you through
I’m by your side, my child I know you by name.

I'm always in control,
I will finish what I started with you,
My wisdom you cannot fathom.

I want you to know,
My love for you is true,
That I’m by your side no matter what happens.

What you want is reassurance, to know I am there,
Then this calls for you endurance, because my child I really do care.
To stand firm, and believe I will see you through,
Watch and see, doors, will be open to you.

Looking over heaven my child,
I hear your prayers, I hear your cry.
I love you forever and
Forever I'll always be
By your side

Man In Filthy Rags

This man in rags,
Deserves death,
This man in filthy rags,
Does not deserve to be in your presence

Woe is I,
Who can delivery me from this misery?
My heart, my soul cries,
That you would go to Calvary,
How can this be? That you would save me?

Filthy rags I wear,
I stand before you Lord,
Will mercy call?
I am affected and impure,
By my own sins
I feel your pierce sword
Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall,
Swept away by the wind.
I’m a man in filthy rags, dead man walking in sin.

Filthy rags I wear,
That I am clothed in.
But still you came, because you cared,
To take upon you the weight of my sin.
In order to set me free
From the law of sin and death.
That you would save this filthy man in rags,
And take my place instead.

Filthy rags I wear,
I stand before you Lord,
Will mercy call?
I am affected and impure,
By my own sins
I feel your pierce sword
Like autumn leaves, we wither and fall,
Swept away by the wind.
I’m a man in filthy rags, dead man walking in sin.
My faith in Christ has saved me from the law of sin and death.

By Aaron Guadarrama

Something Fierce In The Heart Of God

He’s the beginning and the end, the Great I AM,
The One who parted the Red Sea,
Nothing is impossible for Him,
For He goes before you to face your enemies.

He was the Shepard boy’s strength,
Who slain the lion and the bear.
Lead David to battlefield, and through his faith,
Defeated Goliath with a stone in his hand without fear.

The battle belongs to the Lord we praise
He’s able, He is more than enough
The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is His name.
There’s something fierce in the heart of God.
He’s the mighty rushing wind,
By the wave of his hand storms are calmed.
Death has no victory; death has no sting with him,
There’s something fierce in the heart of God.

All alone, He stood his ground,
No sin found in him, he was determine to face the cross
He took our penalty, our shame, and with three nails, and thorns as his crown.
Open the door to a world that was lost.
He walked through the valley comforted by His father’s staff and rod.
Yes, there’s something fierce in the heart of God

The battle belongs to the Lord we praise
He’s able, He is more than enough
The Lord is a warrior; the Lord is His name.
There’s something fierce in the heart of God.
He’s the mighty rushing wind,

Just Love Me

Did you love me today?
Did you love me the day before?
Was I in your thoughts, as you are always on mine?
Did your heart move you my way?
Did you even knocked on my door?
Did your heart ache for me, for not spending any time?

My eyes search the whole earth to strengthen
Those whose hearts are fully committed to me.
Did you even try, just a little to make it happen?
Or were you just too busy, just to love me?

I long to be with you, long to draw you close
And bring you into my presence.
To take upon me your load, for you been away from home,
To give you rest my child in my holiness.

My eyes search the whole earth to strengthen
Those whose hearts are fully committed to me.
Did you even try, just a little to make it happen?
Or were you just too busy, just to love me?

Love me with all your heart
Love me with all your soul,
Love me with all your might.
Watch, and just wait and see.
I’ll make it happen right from the start
Tell you things you do not know,
In the darkness, will be your guiding light,
All I ask in return, that you just love me.

My eyes search the whole earth to strengthen
Those whose hearts are fully committed to me.
Did you even try, just a little to make it happen?
Or were you just too busy, just to love me?

Adams Perspective On Eve

In deep sleep, just now awaken
I find myself I'm not alone,
Who is she that has captivated me in the garden?
Which is part of my flesh and bone.

Only for you my rib was taken
You are wonderfully beautifully made just for me.
Moved by your touch, I will name you women,
Will become one together in the garden, and live here for eternity.

But don't eat the fruit of this tree for God said we would surely die.
I couldn't imagine being without you, women, your part of my life.
I was alone, but patiently, God made me wait,
You’re my helper, my love, my companion, and my soul mate.
Here in the garden together, He has made you suitable for me.
Will tend it and take care of it forever my love, my wife to be.

In deep sleep, just now awaken
I find myself I'm not alone,
Who is she that has captivated me in the garden?
Which is part of my flesh and bone.

What is this you have done, do you realize what this means?
This can never be undone, why uncover the mysteries?
Don’t make me choose, but I don’t want to be lonely.
I’ll do anything for you; except eat the fruit from this tree honestly.

Eat the fruit of this tree; God said we would surely die.
I couldn't imagine being without you, women, your part of my life.
I will go along with you on this, because you’re my soul mate.
The fruit I will not resist, for without you my soul will ache.

In deep sleep, just now awaken
I find myself I'm not alone,
Who is she that has captivated me in the garden?
Which is part of my flesh and bone.
She is Eve, God’s creation, she is a mystery.
I am Adam, who loves her so passionately.

Genesis 3:6
(New American Standard Bible)
When the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was a delight to the eyes, and that the tree was desirable to make one wise, she took from its fruit and ate; and she gave also to her husband with her, and he ate.

Faithful
Lord, I know your thoughts are not my thoughts,
Nor your ways have I even started to follow.
But I want them to be.
For you are more than enough,
Lord, I want to be faithful.

In my pain and struggle, it’s you I begin to sought,
When I go through days of lonely sorrows,
It’s you, who comforts me,
With you unfailing love,
You still remain faithful.

Throughout these years,
In everything I do,
In my joys and in my tears
I pray and hope what remains true,
That I was faithful,
Lord, I want to be faithful.

It’s you I want to get to know,
When I don’t pray, my world falls apart,
Lost many beautiful moments with you,
Lord, I didn’t remain faithful.

Can I come to you with an honest soul?
Will you find in me a man after your own heart?
Can I say today I was sincerely true?
Lord, will you find in me, if I was faithful?

Throughout these years,
In everything I do,
In my joys and in my tears
I pray and hope what remains true,
That I was faithful,
Lord, I want to be faithful.
Lord, help me to be faithful.

Compassion

There they are lost, without a Shepard, there they are lost, with no one with a care in the world for them. Who would take up their crosses, with the Good News and declare? Who will count the cost and move with compassion and hold their hand?

Oh Lord, help us see and be moved with sympathy for another’s suffering. That is our passion.
Let us heed to your calling, be your message of hope for suffering humanity, may we be moved with compassion.

They are harassed and helpless, needing your love Lord, will they find rest?
They been told they are outcasts, feeling hopeless, in this dying world, Lord send us out into the harvest.

Oh Lord, help us see and be moved with sympathy for another’s suffering. That is our passion.
Let us heed to your calling, be your message of hope for suffering humanity, may we be moved with compassion.

Soon you will be arriving, coming for the great gathering of your harvest, for it is plentiful but the workers are few. From all over the world like lightning, to gather from Austin, to China, to Africa to Peru.

Yes, we are going to sweat, and yes our body will ache, but we ask whatever in Christ name, and see the Lord move for the harvest sake. The harvest is very precious and valuable to Him, it must be gathered, or it will be lost. It is urgent and time is moving quickly and then our opportunity is gone, can you count the cost?

Oh Lord, help us see and be moved with sympathy for another’s suffering. That is our passion.
Let us heed to your calling, be your message of hope for suffering humanity, may we be moved with compassion.

Matthew 9:35-38

35Jesus was going through all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every kind of disease and every kind of sickness. 36Seeing the people, He felt compassion for them, because they were distressed and dispirited like sheep without a shepherd. 37Then He said to His disciples, "The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. 38"Therefore beseech the Lord of the harvest to send out workers into His harvest."

The Lighthouse

There's a lighthouse inside of us,
that can burn so ever brightly,
It's the Holy Spirit we must trust,
and pray without ceasing.
Only we can put it out,
and quench the fire within,
if we don't remain devout,
then how can we be that beacon.

For if God is for us, who can be against us,
we stand in any type of weather, shape or form.
Does he not control the seas,
and by the wave of his hand, calms the storms?
Waves may come crashing in on our walls, the fog rolls in to blind,
but by the power of Jesus name the enemy we bind.
Just trust and believe and never doubt,
For in the midst of our storms,
Jesus is our lighthouse.

We are to become a beacon to the lost world,
a safe haven for them to guide to.
For every man, women, boy and girl, we are to bring the gospel of truth.
We stand and rejoice,
for we are the light of the world, for them to see.
When the storms roll in,
our precious Lord will lead them home, to safety.

For if God is for us, who can be against us,
we stand in any type of weather, shape or form.
Does he not control the seas?
And by the wave of his hand, calms the storms?
Waves may come crashing in on our walls; the fog rolls in to blind,
but by the power of Jesus name the enemy we bind.
Just trust and believe and never doubt,
for in the midst of our storms,
Jesus is our lighthouse.

John 8:12

12When Jesus spoke again to the people, he said, "I am the light of the world. Whoever follows me will never walk in darkness, but will have the light of life."

A Hope Beyond Our Own

I see your love in the early morning rise.
It's full of your mercies and loving kindness.
I fall to my knees and cry,
For it leads me to repentance.
For I want my heart to be undivided,
Lord make it your own.
To be lead by Jesus Christ,
My only true hope.

A hope beyond our own, an expectation,
That His mercies are new every morning for us all.
He laid down the foundation,
Our Savior heeded the call.
He sent His only Son from above,
For He saw the souls that were lost.
I was captured by His unconditional love,
When He died on that old rugged cross.

Psalm 73:25-26

25 Whom have I in heaven but you? And earth has nothing I desire besides you. 26 My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
More Love

Teach me thy will that I may follow, according to your plan.
Help me not be hasty and miss the way, help me to understand.
I want to know your will in my life; I want to know you more.
That I may not rear to the left or right, but stay on the straight path
You lay before me, oh precious Lord.

More faith, more hope, I ask from above,
But the greatest that remains that I ask from you Lord, is more love.
More faith, more hope, I ask from above,
But the greatest that remains that I ask from you Lord, is more love.

If you, O Lord, kept a record of my sins,
Lord, no way could I stand!
Unless you Lord, build this house this builder labors in vain,
Lord, may your hand guide me, show me your plan.
Your mercies are new every morning and forgiveness follows the rising sun.
Your love endures forever; you are my glory, my redeemer, the true Mighty One.

Lord what I’m asking is….more faith, more hope, I ask from above,
But the greatest that remains that I ask from you Lord, is more love.
More faith, more hope, I ask from above,
But the greatest that remains that I ask from you Lord, is more love.

The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me;
Your love O lord, endures forever
Do not abandon the works of your hands.
Help me not be hasty and miss the way, help me to understand.

Yes Lord, more faith, more hope, I ask from above,
But the greatest that remains that I ask from you today, is more of your love.

Psalms 121:7,8
The Lord will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; The Lord will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

Love left heaven for me

Love left heaven for me, on a mission for the Father, to do his will and not His.
For the Father and the Son have always been close for all eternity, so He left and was surely missed.

Love was born in humble settings, with just a few there to see,
though the world might have been quiet, heaven itself and all the Angels were rejoicing.

And over the years as he grew into the man he was set out to be, He knew how this was going to end. With all mankind lives hanging on the ballot for eternity, He knew the day would come that He will experience death.

With compassion and love in His eyes, healed the sick, fed the poor, told them the story of another kingdom for them in store.

Along the way pick up some friends and taught and shared what was His, twelve to be exact, though one would betray him with a kiss, betrayed but love for him he did not lack.

He was captured and thrown in jail for no reason, to be flogged, kicked, and made fun of. Barely standing in front of His excusers, all battered and bruised, he was the light of world that still showed love.

Though they couldn’t find no fault in Him, he was punished with death on a cross that he would carry himself to his end. The weight of the world on his shoulders, soon it will be over and finally back with His Father again.

But death did not come quickly, agonized in pain, suffering severely, with nailed hands and feet to the cross, with His blood running down his brow. He suffered tremendously for us, that one day we all would be with Him now.

As they took him down that cross to be laid to rest, I am being reminded that Love left heaven for me, on a mission for the Father, to do his will and not His. Because he loved Him so much, He wanted me to experience the same love of the Father as well because we are His.

Death did not end his life, but made the way for all of us to believe. For He rose on the third day, and forever and ever he sits as King of Kings, Glory in the Highest, Prince of Peace.

Love left heaven for me, I’m glad He did, for love is eternity.
