Year of Reflection

It was a year of reflection
Making an observation
Trying to understand where you are leading me to

I needed revelation
I found myself in desperation
Asking, seeking, and knocking on the door for truth

Learning from mistakes of yesterday’s past oh how I misjudged
While tomorrow have enough of its own worrisome
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge
Lord I was a fool to despise wisdom and discipline

So all I have is this very moment called today
For tomorrow is never promised to us
Yesterday’s been recorded and now it’s gone its way
I give everything over to you Lord because it’s you I trust

Teach me to overcome my fears, for I want to walk by faith
Not be discouraged by what I hear or doubt what my natural eyes see
Today is the day that the Lord hath made; today Lord I seek your face
That I live a life of love and clothe with humility

Despite my weaknesses, unfaithfulness
Your grace, your sovereignty, your mighty hand has failed me not
Salvation begins in forgiveness
For I know you are faithful my God

You open your hand and satisfy the desires of every living thing your word says
Be my desire Lord, my first love, that I hunger for, thirst for each and every day

All I have is this very moment called today
For tomorrow is never promised to us
Yesterday’s been recorded and now it’s gone its way
I give everything over to you Lord because it’s you I trust

Psalm 145:13 (NIV)

Your kingdom is an everlasting kingdom,
and your dominion endures through all generations.
The LORD is faithful to all his promises
and loving toward all he has made.

My Longing

Another morning,
Another day has arrived
Oh LORD, I wish to spend it with you,
My hidden pearl
With each passing day
When my soul did not feel renewed, alive.
Unfaithfulness is my name
To let this flesh desire after things of this world.

The lust of the flesh,
The lust of the eyes,
The pride of life
LORD, my sin is a stench
I am a fool, to walk blind and believe the lies.
To think this world has something to offer, that it can satisfy.

Truly I am a foreigner
A stranger in a foreign land
Longing for your Heavenly Kingdom.
I must rely on you Father
Help me in my weakness; hold me in the palm of your hands.
Deliver me from darkness, may your will be done.

For you, and you alone can truly satisfy,
Fulfill to my souls contentment
LORD, have all of me, my heart is yours.
Oh that I walk humbly in your light
I cry for mercy and grace to follow of my repentance,
Of my unfaithfulness, I fall short, I realize Lord; I am not of this world.

Without you I am nothing,
Possessions I am abandoning
For a love that is never ending
A heavenly treasure that is rewarding
My soul is anticipating
Waiting for a King who is coming
I need to keep persevering
Avoid the dangers of compromising
Lord, may I begin each morning,
After you I seek earnestly,
That you be my passion each day Lord, be my longing.

1 John 2:15-17 NLT
15 Do not love this world nor the things it offers you, for when you love the world, you do not have the love of the Father in you. 16 For the world offers only a craving for physical pleasure, a craving for everything we see, and pride in our achievements and possessions. These are not from the Father, but are from this world. 17 And this world is fading away, along with everything that people crave. But anyone who does what pleases God will live forever.

Jesus Is the Answer

Are you feeling defeated and discouraged?
In hopelessness and despair?
Mountains seem impossible to climb.

Holding on to what little faith you have, but be encouraged!
Don’t let the devil make you believe that God does not care,
But faith of a size of a mustard seed, is still enough for our God to rescue, rescue just in time.

He’s our cloud by day,
He’s our fire by night,
Who moves Heaven and Earth to save,
Our deliverer, who hears our cries.

Who strikes Goliath down
With just a pebble in David’s hand,
That The God of Israel’s name be renowned.
Who made David, a little boy, a champion in the end.

Our Lord is a warrior
He’s our Rod and Staff, our Shepherd, His voice we know.
Believe my brother, believe my sister,
Every knee will bow and every tongue will confess,
That He’s King of Kings and Lord of Lords.

Who walks with us in fiery furnace even when it’s seven times hotter.
Who shuts the hungry lion’s mouths, no harm to come to thee,
No other name above Him is greater.
Our Spring of Life in times of drought that refreshes our souls when feeling empty.

He’s my Rose of Sharon,
My Lily of the Valley,
Behold His beauty, His Glory,
Who set’s the captives free
Who calms the storms in our lives,
Chains are broken,
Addictions are gone,
Despair is no more
Salvation has come.

He’s the Way, the Truth, and the Light,
The Lamb of God,
Wonderful Counselor,
Mighty God
Prince of Peace,
Author of life
Lion of Judah
Bright Morning Star
Word of God
Alpha and Omega
The name above all names.
JESUS!
By Aaron Guadarrama
Inspired by song the Andrae Crouch Jesus Is The Answer

There’s power in the name of…..JESUS
There’s healing in the name of……JESUS
There’s salvation in the name of….JESUS
The bible says that demons tremble at the sound of that name….JESUS!

Jesus is the answer, for the world today,
Above Him there’s no other,
For JESUS IS THE WAY!
