A Man After Your Own Heart

Oh Father in heaven above,
Your mercies are new every morning.
Oh how great is your love!
My heart worships you with praise and singing.

My heart burns within me,
To walk in your presence to be with you
Be drowned in the fragrance of your love.

To live out my life for my Savior, my King,
To desire and hunger for your truth,
To walk humbly before my loving God.

So my prayer is to be known more than just a proud son.
To be known more than just a loving father.
To be known more than just faithful husband,
To be known more than just a close brother.

To be known more than just a trusted friend,
To be known more than someone who trusted in your word, that I didn’t depart
To be known more than someone who extended a helping hand.
To be known more than anything this life of mine imparts.

Oh Lord, It is my sincere prayer,
That I always stay close and follow you,
Please don’t let me ever from you drift apart.

Let it be known, it is my heart’s one desire.
That I always remain true
My God, to be known that I was a man after your own heart.

The LORD will command His loving-kindness in the daytime;
And His song will be with me in the night,
A prayer to the God of my life.

The Good Message

What it must of have been like is beyond our comprehension.
That conversation God the Father and his son in Heaven.

All of heaven silenced, why their precious treasure must go.
One word, obedience, for the love of His Father is all He had known.
Among us a humbled loving servant he would be.
To leave all behind his place of royalty.

I’ll go Father, I’ll go, for you and make this sacrifice.
I know what this means Father, I know, but there’s no other choice.
I’ll go and lay down my life, for the sins of the world.
Bring hope to the hopeless and strife, and raise your banner of love Father, let it be unfurled.

For it’s not a fairytale,
Nor a myth.
Not a past down fable,
Or something made up.

But the ultimate love story known to man,
Why God’s love is such a mystery.
Exchange Heaven’s treasure for the world’s sin.
Through God’s son we find grace and mercy.

But the exchange would involve a sacrifice,
Sufferings, beatings, only the world would allow.
The humiliation and spits to the face,
And a crown of thorns to go with it, placed above his brow.

For the world didn’t think twice,
To have him shamed, crucified,
To have him put to death on that old rugged cross.
Yes he gave up his life,
Paid the ultimate price,
So that you and I wouldn’t be lost.

What he had to endure to wrestle for our lives for eternity.
Agony he would feel, at the Garden of Gethsemane what courage!
But he went to die in my place,
that punishment rightly belonged to me,
This is the story, what’s all about, The Good Message.

I’ll go Father, I’ll go, for you and make this sacrifice.
I know what this means Father, I know, but there’s no other choice.
I’ll go and lay down my life, for the sins of the world.
Bring hope to the hopeless and strife,
and raise your banner of love Father, over me
Let it be unfurled.

99 On The Hill

It’s another morning in the pasture;
My heart is broken, in dismay.
When I noticed one of you were missing?

I’ve searched among your brothers and sisters, friends,
My precious love, why did you stray?
You’re worth more than anything.

This love of mine is true, and you belong to me still.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.
Won’t give up but will see you through, my promise to fulfill.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.

Battered and bruised, so hungry and thirsty
The dangers of the wilderness can make you lose your sense of direction so quickly.

Not aware of treacherous wolves that follow your path,
Or the poison berries you’re tempted to eat.
Your way may seem right but leads to death,
My sheep know my tender voice and follow me.

This love of mine is true, and you belong to me still.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.
Won’t give up but will see you through, my promise to fulfill.
So I am off to find you, and leave my 99 on the hill.

The one, who is lost, can never be so far from being saved by the Father’s hand.
He’s paid the price and you’ve been bought, by the blood of the lamb.

God’s love for each individual is so great,
That he seeks out each one and rejoices when he or she is found.

Along with heaven’s orchestra as the angels celebrate,
On Christ shoulders, carrying you home where true love abounds.

Lost one,
He loves you still,
He will see you through
To Him you truly belong,
He would leave the 99 on the hill,
Just to find you.

Job’s Song

Job, do you feel the leaves begin to fall in your life,
Job, do you feel a change of weather?
That a dry season is coming?
Probing the questions and reasons why?
Walking but going nowhere,
Job, why must you go through this hardship, this suffering?

Do you have the feelings of unhappiness?
Have fears of the unknown,
Job, are you full of misery and distress?
Crying out have mercy Lord, save my troubled soul.

What is your song Job?

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

But Job, you lost everything, ruin without reason.
What is left? Curse God and die?
Painful sores from head to feet, are you ready for the dry season?
You sit there among the ashes to what end? Job why?

What is your song Job? Where is your God Job? Who will deliver you now Job?

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

My Lord and King, my hearts deservingness,
My knees to the floor; my heart I will sing.
The praiseworthiness of you Lord does not depend on my circumstances.
I praise you for your unchangeable and desirable worth.

Father, I praise you, for who you are,
Sovereign Lord,
All-powerful,
Unmovable,
Good,
Holy,
Everlasting,
Merciful,
Mighty to save,
My strong tower,
The Lord Almighty loving God,
Creator of heaven and earth.

I will sing a new song;
To the one who is faithful and true.
I worship you in every season I face,
My soul still before you and quietly wait all day long.
Strength and victory belong to you.
Will not let suffering, or the enemy destroy my faith.

Seasons change, people change,
And we speak of things of God we do not understand,
Things to wonderful for us to know,
But one thing still remains;
No one can alter His plans,
He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God’s love reigns that he freely bestows.

I will sing a new song;
To the one who is faithful and true.
I worship you in every season I face,
My soul still before you and quietly wait all day long.
Strength and victory belong to you.
Will not let suffering, or the enemy destroy my faith.

HOPE
Oh LORD,
This morning my soul is downcast,
My heart heavy in pain, feel forsaken.

Now gone the one I adored,
My life shattered like broken glass
Why was my precious one taken?

My mind floods with questions for reasons why?
Overwhelmed with tears that have soaked my bed.
My flesh in me wants to anger inside,
Wants to blame you instead.

So I am holding on to your promises
It’s all I know, what little strength I have to do.
Keep me in your presence where I hear angel choruses,
Lord, bring comfort and strength to my heart that I may worship you.

With anticipation, expectation, this confidence,
I put my hope, my trust in you.
Though I walk through the valley of death,
I know you are with me; your rod and staff will protect, and will see me through.

One day, I will see my precious again,
The comfort of knowing that it will come to past.
Knowing my precious is now in the arms of my loving savior, my friend,
To know only what you do for Christ will surely last.

He’s
Our
Peace
Eternally
