Job’s Song

Job, do you feel the leaves begin to fall in your life,
Job, do you feel a change of weather?
That a dry season is coming?
Probing the questions and reasons why?
Walking but going nowhere,
Job, why must you go through this hardship, this suffering?

Do you have the feelings of unhappiness?
Have fears of the unknown,
Job, are you full of misery and distress?
Crying out have mercy Lord, save my troubled soul.

What is your song Job?

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

But Job, you lost everything, ruin without reason.
What is left? Curse God and die?
Painful sores from head to feet, are you ready for the dry season?
You sit there among the ashes to what end? Job why?

What is your song Job? Where is your God Job? Who will deliver you now Job?

“Naked I came from my mother’s womb, and naked I will depart.
The LORD gave and the LORD has taken away; may the name of the LORD be praised.”

My Lord and King, my hearts deservingness,
My knees to the floor; my heart I will sing.
The praiseworthiness of you Lord does not depend on my circumstances.
I praise you for your unchangeable and desirable worth.

Father, I praise you, for who you are,
Sovereign Lord,
All-powerful,
Unmovable,
Good,
Holy,
Everlasting,
Merciful,
Mighty to save,
My strong tower,
The Lord Almighty loving God,
Creator of heaven and earth.

I will sing a new song;
To the one who is faithful and true.
I worship you in every season I face,
My soul still before you and quietly wait all day long.
Strength and victory belong to you.
Will not let suffering, or the enemy destroy my faith.

Seasons change, people change,
And we speak of things of God we do not understand,
Things to wonderful for us to know,
But one thing still remains;
No one can alter His plans,
He’s the same yesterday, today, and forever.
God’s love reigns that he freely bestows.

I will sing a new song;
To the one who is faithful and true.
I worship you in every season I face,
My soul still before you and quietly wait all day long.
Strength and victory belong to you.
Will not let suffering, or the enemy destroy my faith.
